Deathstroke Actor Joe Manganiello Joins The Call To #RestoreTheSnyderverse

Actor Joe Manganiello, who played Deathstroke in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, has now joined the effort to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, tweeting out the hashtag with a photo of himself as the character taken by Zack Snyder himself.
He joins Darkseid actor Ray Porter and Cyborg actor Ray Fisher, and many others, who have called upon the powers that be at Warner Bros and HBO Max to continue on with the vision of the DC Universe that was established in Zack Snyder’s trio of DC Films.
You’ll note that Manganiello was originally supposed to play the villain Deathstroke opposite Ben Affleck in a solo Batman film (titled “The Batman“) before all those plans were dropped as a result of the studio’s highly reactionary response to the reception of Batman v Superman.
Interest in seeing the Snyderverse restored has soared after the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League which was met with positive critical and fan reception. Despite Warner Bros executives considering it a “cul-de-sac” and the “completion of Zack’s trilogy” (it’s not – he had two other films planned), the film sets up a number of possible sequels and spinoffs, all of which are as interesting if not more so than the actual slate of projects WB has coming up.
Among those possibilities is a Batfleck v Deathstroke film and a solo Deathstroke series, both of which fans have been pushing for.
It will be interesting to see if any more cast members join the call in the days to come.
