Welcome to All The Gods, a DC Comics fansite with an emphasis on the more serious, mature, and grounded approach to the DC Universe as found in the works of Frank Miller, Alan Moore, and most recently, the films of Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder.
The name of the site comes from the following Joseph Campbell quote:
All the gods, all the heavens, all the hells, are within you.
Joseph Campbell’s “hero’s journey” served as a guiding inspiration for Zack Snyder in his series of DC films. We also feel it speaks to our preference for the more mythical and reverent take on DC characters as “Gods Among Us”.
Although our primary focus is on DC, we will cover any comic book media that dares to ask interesting questions like:
How would the world realistically react to the existence of superheroes?
What would it be like to actually be a superhero?
